Add a Double Connection Leash?: No Thanks

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you. It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness. Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously. Used this way, you can control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs. The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the webbing can literally be used to tow cars. It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.

The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs.

Sizing

It comes in two widths:

5/8” for smaller dogs under 40 lbs – Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Miniature Schnauzers, etc.

1” for larger dogs over 40 lbs – Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Basset Hounds, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, etc.

To measure your dog for the harness, use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string) and measure all the way around the largest part of your dog’s chest. Choose the SMALLEST size that fits within that measurement.

Multiple Leash Attachment Options!

Training Leash*

The training leash is designed to be used in conjunction with the Freedom No-Pull Harness. It provides additional control points, which evenly distribute pressure. It has a permanently attached “floating” handle, allowing the leash to be used in multiple configurations:

  • Connect to the front and the back of the harness simultaneously.
  • Connect to just the front or the back of the harness.
  • Connect to the harness and a collar at the same time.

When connected to two points the training leash is 3′ long including the floating handle, and 4′ long when attached to a single point. As the name suggests, this shorter leash is especially useful for training.

Euro Leash*

The Euro leash is just like the training leash but is 6′ long when connected to both attachments, and 8′ long when connected to a single point. The handle is removable and can be used separately. The Euro leash can be used in the following configurations:

  • 8″ Traffic handle all by itself.
  • Fold leash in half. Clip one end of leash to your dog’s collar or harness and the other end to the stationary ring. Clip the Traffic Handle to the floating ring. This makes a 4′ lead.
  • To create a 2 foot leash, continue from step two, slide the floating O-ring towards you and reconnect it to the bolt snap that is connected to your dog’s collar.
  • Place lead around shoulder/back and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • Place lead around waist and clip (1) end to floating ring and other end to dog. This makes a hands-free lead.
  • To keep your dog close and safe while sitting stationary with him/her, simply attach leash to your dog and wrap the handle end of leash around a pole, fence post, railing or small tree and attach both snaps in the handle to the floating o-ring. (use this method only while remaining with your dog)

*The main difference between the Training leash and Euro leash is the length. The training leash is 3′ long when connected to both points and Euro leash is 6′ long. The Euro leash also has a removable handle that can be used in high traffic situations when you need to keep your dog close to you. We do recommend the training leash for strong pullers because the shorter the lead, the more control you are going to have.

Beautiful purple on Freedom No Pull harness

We have a new rescued pup, age 14 months. The freedom no-pull harness was recommended since she was pulling with her flat collar. We are working with the leash and this harness has helped—the fit instructions were excellent. I think it’s fun to have a few different colors plus good to be able to wash one and wear the other one.

My Dog chewed through it in 2 minutes 😑

I was super excited to get this harness. I managed to use it for one walk and it worked well. However the next day I put it on him and as I was grabbing a few things to take with us I noticed that in the space of a few minutes he was able to chew through one of the straps. He has never tried to chew off other harnesses but maybe he was mad that it stopped him from pulling. Anyway I am very disappointed to say the least. I did manage to use the leash with another more sturdy harness so I guess it’s not a total loss. It’s a very nice harness but no match for a strong determined chewer.

Hi there! We have a chewing warranty available on the website for the cost of shipping and handling. I'll ask customer support to reach out to make sure you find it so we can get you a new harness on the way. Thanks so much!

    Works ok

I have a corgi so she's very short. When using both the front clip and back clip with the leash it Twirls and twists a lot. So I have to stop and untwist it before we can keep going. But it appears to be comfortable on her and she does not pull.

    Great product!

This harness is fantastic! I can walk my dog without the constant pulling, and I love that she’s comfortable and not wearing the prong collar. I never thought I could teach this old dog how to walk nice on a leash. My only regret is I didn’t buy one sooner!

    awful customer service

I'll start by saying I think 2 Hounds makes a great product. My dog has been wearing their harnesses for a year- they typically last 6-8 months, and that's only because she chews them. We love that they offer the chewing warranty because it allows us to replace her harness for much less.

That said, our most recent harness from 2 Hounds broke after just a few hours of my dog wearing it, most of the time while she was sleeping. That in itself is not a problem: they obviously sent a defective product, and we just wanted to be sent a new one that wasn't ripped. But 2 Hounds refused to send us a new harness. They insisted that their harnesses are made from the strongest materials that cannot break on their own, and told us that we would need to buy the warranty to get the product replaced, even though the product was brand new and had not been chewed at all. If my dog had chewed it, it would have ripped 6 or 8 months down the line, not the day we put it on her. All products can be defective, and 2 Hounds' unwillingness to send us a new harness in this situation is ridiculous. Not to mention that it took at least a week for them to get back to us and they ultimately ghosted when we asked them to please consider just replacing the defective product.

This is impressively poor customer service; both the unwillingness to replace a defective product along with both ghosting and blaming customers. You can see from the photo how clean the rip is; this is not what it would look like…

    Hi there,

Typically when we see 1 star reviews, it is about the warranty process. The Freedom Harness is made using strong nylon webbing that doesn't just "break" spontaneously, it has to encounter something sharp in order to break. Typically that is a tooth, but it could also be a branch or something your dog encountered on her walk, possibly.

I'm so sorry that you were disappointed and the warranty process is still available to you if you would like to use it. Thanks so much!
