And it is our first collaboration with Yellow Dog Design, so we are extra excited about this new harness! Available in Black plus TEN of our favorite YDD patterns, including a couple of holiday goodies!
Like it's larger partners, the MINI Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you.
It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness. Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously. Used this way, you are able to control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness (mini and regular!) also features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs. The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the webbing can literally be used to tow cars. It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.
Want to add a leash to make it easier to connect to the front and back of the harness at the same time? We've made this one LONGER (because tiny dogs are closer to the ground) but we still recommend keeping your dog right beside you. :)

I have a 9 lb chihuahua mix with a chest measurement right around 14 in, but he's very slender. I was super excited for the XXS size to come out because I love these harnesses, but I wish it was a bit more substantial. In the photos, you can see the size differences between the XXS skull harness and an XS jellybean harness. The plastic buckles on the XXS are quite tiny and a little harder to unclip, so people with mobility issues in their hands may struggle a bit. My dog fits well in the XXS but there's no room for a sweater underneath. He's a bit too skinny for the XS even with adjustments, but it does have room for a sweater. If he weighed substantially more or pulled hard on the leash, I'm not sure I'd want to keep him in the XXS.

This has helped so much with our Boston terrier ! He would like to pull while walking. This really helps to not pull and it’s very comfortable for him. Our trainer recommended it and I’m so glad she did !

I am happy with the harness. My guy is a little, over 5 pounds . My trainer did help me fit it to him, there’s a lot to adjust, but it fits beautifully. The only drawback for me being older, I would love to see the harness as a whole be wider and the clips on either side bigger. It’s a little difficult to snap and unsnap with them being so small.
Hot Dog Collars1 year agoI know what you mean! We tried so many different types of hardware, but keeping it small enough and light enough for tiny dogs meant we had to use this. Hopefully it gets easier!
